Produced by Alon Cohen for 12 Tribe Sound (Matisyahu, Y-Love, Forgiveness). Come Listen features an exceptional array of guest performances, including Hasidic reggae superstar Matisyahu, clarinet virtuoso Andy Statman, up-and-coming hip-hop star Y-Love, and underground rap sensation E-Shy. Ta-Shma, Chunah Silverman and Menachem Shapiro, is a Brooklyn based Hasidic rap duo. Ta-Shma s debut album, Come Listen, demonstrates the group s skillful wordplay and tight flow over an infusion of innovative hip-hop beats and traditional Jewish melodies. Come Listen pulses with inspired riffs from the mystical treasure chest of Hasidic thought. The tracks range from head-nodding anthems to soulful jams, and incorporate live instruments including clarinet, viola and trumpet. Chunah and Menachem employ an ever-popular yet ancient method of dialogue to deliver an eternal message of faith and yearning. We invite you to Come Listen.

i tried - i tried, i wanted to like this. as far as the genre goes, these guys are probably one of the better acts, but lets face it, the genre is rather limited and it doesnt take much to get noticed. the rhythms are a bit mechanical and stale, and the vocal chops of these two gentleman consdierably lack in the way of cantorial soul . if you like rap music and want something anti-gangster/pro-rebbe, this might be for you. otherwise, there are multiple other jewish music acts who are far more interesting/danceable/entertaining.

Great Album! - I m in my 40 s-- so though I love Matisyahu, Eytan G and other new Jewish music, I recognize that my tastes are not the same as teenagers. However, the 6th and 7th graders I taught last year in Hebrew School really loved Ta Shma (Matisyahu also) as my own kids do-- so give it a listen! .

Excellent CD very Inspiring - Already bought 3 copies of this great cd, all my friends love it right away, so i had to stock up to avoid remaining without this vital CD!

ITS AMAZING - This music is inspirational and will make you want to dance and sing. Some tracks have a strong beat and will make you rap.If you even like Matisyahu a little, you will be fond of Ta Shma.If your Jewish it maeks it even 2X as awsome.Support Jewish music.Buy it, you won t be disappointed. Def. 5/5

A must have CD - Innovative, interesting lyrics, great backing, talented artists.Watch out for more from these producers who discovered and produced Matisyahu s first and greatest hit CD.
